Welcome to my F1 blog. If you’d like to know something about me…
I’m Franky, obviously a girl who loves F1 aerodynamics. I’m currently doing an engineering degree and working to be an aerodynamicist. I started this blog to keep track of my findings in this area. So it’s not a professional blog but I hope it would be helpful for anyone interested in F1 aerodynamics. I always try to keep things simple and easy to understand – I don’t want to scare people away with boundary layers, vorticity, pressure gradients, etc…
For copyright issues, I’ll definitely reference all the pictures I use. Most of the time, they’re from AMuS so that I may state it instead of referencing under each photo. Also, I’ll put links of my readings in my blog posts and also the Links page.

Franky F1 Aerodynamics 
Hi Franky,
I really interested in F1 cars areodynamics and developments. Since couple of years, although I have not any eng. study, I started to understand a lot aero-concepts having a look at various blog! This and the last years I made some technical articles as well for an italian blog as well!
I found your blog really well done and the articles full of interesting details!

I actually get most F1 aero info from Internet/ books/ magazines too. My course is of some help but I found it’s a slowly built-up process and you don’t know where those theory applies to until you really look into something. But I think I’m on the way getting there 🙂 Anyway I’ll always keep my articles in detail so that non-technical people can understand.
It’s very nice to know you and I’m intersted in having a look at your articles too – what’s the web address? Maybe I can understand something after google translate it lol.

I’m really glad to have found your blog. I googled “I love aerodynamics”-for some reason I don’t understand-and read this line “For all aerodynamics lovers”, which really got me, because it was the first blog I found about which totally and completely overlapped with how I think about aerodynamics, and also because I considered my passion to be some sort of niche (I don’t know why, but I do hope I’m totally wrong) considering the fact that the most search results that I got were about Daft Punk’s Aerodynamic (I love that song).
Anyway, I just wanted to ask- what is the most intrinsic thing you love about aerodynamics or what about aerodynamics startled you the most when you first became attached to it?

I’m glad you enjoyed this blog! Sorry about the stupid approval thing on wordpress – it always requires me to review a comment before it gets posted. So it’s not daft punk’s fault, it’s mine – believe it or not, it’s my first time logging in wordpress in almost two years… I’m feeling really guilty about it! I hope I’d still have some fresh ideas to post here in the future. I love that song too btw!!
I got into aerodynamics because of my love for motorsport and engineering. I found it beautiful and delicate as a physical phenomena but challenging as an engineering problem. How about you?
